Soft Goods/Toy Designer - FREELANCE

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Developing new products and packaging from concept sketches through to production specs, with a focus on soft toys and personal accessories. Reviews samples and send feedback to factories throughout the development process. Also manages smaller design projects, including initial research and costing through to final pricing.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

·         Assisting Senior Designers and Design Director

·         Sketching new product concepts

·         Specifying new products that follow the Brief

·         Communicating with factories and/or modelmakers to develop product samples

·         Developing packaging dielines and specifying packaging plans

·         Creating concept sheets for use by sales

Key Account Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Skip Hop is seeking a Key Account Manager to join our growing Sales team. The ideal candidate will have a sense of urgency, understand the complexities of mass retail and overseas production, and have experience in account management of national retailers.   

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create new product and retailer presentations
  • Present to national retailers independently
  • Create annual business plans for major retailers   
  • Create plans to maximize growth through price, promotion, product and positioning strategies
  • Manage international distributors agreements, relationship, new product introduction, and  sales growth
  • Monitor competitor brands and products as well as our market share, competitor market share, and target market share to understand shopper trends
  • Analyzes retailer sales data and market sales data to provide insights for growing the business
  • Applies understanding of product portfolio, brand  positioning, brand vision & strategy to drive product sell-in and sell-through
  • Develops and manages relationship with key partners (financial planners, buyers, etc.).

Skills & Experience:

Skip Hop is seeking a Graphic Designer to join our Marketing Department. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic with the flexibility and focus to multi-task in a fast paced creative environment.  He/she will have strong layout, typography and color skills.  The ideal candidate will also have good communication and interpersonal skills and a great attitude.  This position reports directly to the Creative Director. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Create purposeful and beautiful graphic design work that drives our brand. 
  • Concept and design branding materials such as catalogs and sales and marketing collateral (sell sheets, brochures, postcards etc)
  • Design eblasts, web banners, and social media posts
  • Design packaging in partnership with our die designer
  • Assist with photo shoots as needed
     

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in graphic design with a minimum of 4 years experience as a graphic designer
  • Strong design and typography skills with a working understanding of print production
  • Expert in InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator and Powerpoint

Amazon Account Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Skip Hop is seeking an Ecommerce Manager to manage planning and strategic directives for ecommerce programs in an exciting, fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.

Primary Responsibilities:
 

  • Analyzes historical sales data, current marketing plans, POS trends, reviews and other data to identify volume potential by SKU.
  • Publish weekly POS reports to share with internal team and provide POS highlights to marketing and online retail partners.
  • Work closely with sales and inventory planner to advise on sales of new items, changes in current sales trends, ect.
  • Conduct POS and/or business deep dives when needed to better understand the trend of the business, why item is selling or not.
  • Use analysis and reports to work with accounts to resolve stock issues and develop strategies for underperforming programs.
  • Collaborate with marketing to ensure that the business is maximizing key products online.
  • Conduct YE post mortem to identify investment opportunities and other analytics when needed, such as trade spend analysis, market share reports, lift results, competitive trends, etc.
  • Conduct weekly audits of site.
  • Spot check site navigation to ensure product is navigated to proper class.
  • Proactively monitor ASIN coding status.
  • Work with accounts to ensure assets go live on a timely basis.
  • Work with account and operations team to ensure initial orders are transmitted and validate quantities, size scales and start ship dates.
  • Work with accounts to develop build orders in conjunction with marketing promotion.
  • Ability to monitor flow of incoming orders versus weekly sales forecasts.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of ecommerce experience.

Skip Hop is seeking a Copywriter to join our Marketing Department. The Copywriter will be responsible for generating copy across all channels: digital/social media, catalog/print and PR. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a clear and consistent brand voice
  • Write innovative and creative copy for marketing, branding materials and packaging

  • Ensure accuracy of all copy execution (proof reading)

Qualifications:

Merchandising Assistant

Skip Hop is seeking a Full time Merchandising Assistant for our growing team.  This position will support the Director of Merchandising with the introduction of successful new product launches and the discontinuation of current products. The merchandising assistant will help with market and competitive research and act as a liaison with design, sales and marketing departments. This is a great position for someone that is interested in juvenile product design and would like to get their start with an exciting, growing company.

The category manager will provide market and competitive research and act as a liaison with design, sales and marketing departments throughout the life cycle of our products.
